For the first 20 years of my life I lived, learned and played like any normal person in German. However, my college and professional life was spent completely immersed in the United States, more specifically, in California’s Silicon Valley culture. I am a bilingual and bicultural individual, who can think locally on more than one continent, having fully incorporated both the German as well as the US American culture within me.
I spent 20 years of my professional life working for global technology companies such as Tandem Computers, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard and NetApp.
For years, I traveled the world telling business stories to customers, business partners and co-workers. The stories told of how the hardware and software products and services influenced and touched people’s lives on almost a daily basis, even though many had never even heard of the specific technology products I promoted.
My formal education includes achievements such as a bachelor degree from San Jose State University and an Executive Master in Business Administration (EMBA) with distinction (Beta Gamma Sigma) from The Peter Drucker & Masatoshi Ito School of Management at Claremont Graduate University, with focus on strategy, leadership, and business management.
